Hi everyone,

I just received some QC photos of a ZF AP ROO I'm about to buy and would really appreciate your input.

To keep it brief: I’m a bit unsure whether I’m overthinking a visual angle or if there’s an actual alignment issue here.

Looking at the first photo, the inverted triangle on the diver bezel (or is it the rehaut?) seems slightly off from the 12 o’clock marker. Meanwhile, the 6 o’clock marker appears better aligned. Some of the other photos seem fine, others less so — which adds to my confusion.

As someone completely new to APs, I’d be grateful if anyone could help clarify whether this is within the norm or something to be concerned about. Thanks in advance!

It's misaligned and there are better ZF examples out there. If this is a 3120 ZF I'd get another one. Also the nature of these bezels makes it VERY painful to realign, not like an exterior bezel, so it's worth it to RL a few to get one to your liking.

I agree, it’s misaligned. I’ll RL this one.

It’s a ZF with a Miyota 9015 movement. According to Sead, the 3120 version from ZF is hard to come by these days. The 9015 is currently the only option they’re offering.

9015 one is superior for long term use anyways on the closed caseback 15703. The 3120 is a bit of a wonky movement out of the box without a service.

I read something about that too, which is why I placed the order right away when Sead told me 9015 was the only option.

Does the crown at 10 rotate the chapter ring like it does on the gen? That could explain it? I don't know enough about the ZF functionality or if the crown at 10 is just a dummy crown.

Good point! I’ve asked Sead, but it seems he’s not sure either and needs to check with the factory. So let’s see how it goes.
