What is the best way to clean the parts of a watch movement with the jar method of cleaning - opposed to an ultrasonic cleaner? Can you use lighter fluid to clean and rinse with? Does One-Dip clean all the parts of the watch if what I've heard about lighter fluid doesn't work? I'd be cleaning old Ebay movements for practice mainly to practice on.

you can definatly use lighter fluid for cleaning parts and jewellery. My only concern would be if it was safe for the rubber gaskets and seals.
