Hello everyone! I was very lost when getting into rep watches, but this community, and RWI has put together a great guide to getting started! I just ordered my first watch with Trusty Time, and I must say it was fairly seamless. Trusty Time appears to be a good choice for me, and I feel they have earned a good reputation among this community so I figured I will start there.
I looked through the massive list of watches that they have on the site, and they have done an excellent job sharing all aspects of the design, and quality. I quickly realized that understanding the terminology, and choosing a corresponding Factory to the time piece were important to understand as to insure you get the best bang for your buck.
Before placing the order I contacted trusty time, and spoke with Andrew. I sent him 5-6 watches I was interested in, only one was available, and I decided to go with an VSF Factory Seamaster.
Andrew has been quick to respond, and very polite. He informed me that “VSF is only releasing watches once every two weeks so there are delays to their timelines.” I will update this post throughout the process in hopes that someone else just starting out can follow along!
