No i mean i would love this exact oiled leather quality, but in a ''normal'' strap not Nato, for a vintage Rolex.

Which one you mean to shorten the Nato or the bund>?

I guess for the bund (you can use as a classic leather strap without the leather paddle), all you can do, is punch some holes with the machine.
