Latest on GF (heard boss was released), or are there any NWIG level Breitling Superocean Heritage II around?

Hi, new here but I have searched about Breitling Superocean Heritage II on the forums and the information appears to be outdated, hence posting a new thread.

Are there any NWIG level Breitling Superocean Heritage II watches out there, especially the 42mm Green dial variant? I know with GF raids the supply of NWIG Breitlings has dried up, but are there any new factories with good quality superoceans or any news on GF starting production again as I've heard their boss was released from prison?

I've also been on the hunt for a black dial Superocean (if you can't already tell by my profile pic). Talked to a few TDs and other dealers, but there's currently no way of getting a GF version.

Heard multiple people say that there's some stock left, but I guess other factories and sellers are just staying away from anything related to GF because of the recent raid.

One alternative is getting a Superocean from BLSF. It's not quite as good as GF, but decent. Same A2824 movement. I would say it's currently the best version available. Here are some pics:

The last image is marked by a seller. I think she wanted to show me that the date window is a bit different on the BLSF version.

Another minor flaw is the shape of the lume pip. It's pretty flat and doesn't protrude out like on a gen. Otherwise it's a very good rep, so if you're really trying to scratch that itch, go for it. It's a stunning watch.

I prefer the Superocean Heritage 2 Green to Omega Aqua Terra Green but I guess I'm just better off getting the VSF Omega as the quality should be much more reliable, and then maybe one day SOH2 will be back from GF or elsewhere.

Heh, that's funny. I got myself a VSF AT with a black dial as a temporary replacement aswell, until GF opens back up. Should be here in a few days.

You're definitely gonna be happy with the quality. Only thing about the green dial variant, is that the color is a bit different from a gen (left).



I think they also didn't quite nail the color on the blue dial, but it's still not going to be noticable, unless you do a side-by-side comparison.



Not sure if VSF made any changes to the dial color recently though.

They're solid reps. The movement could be tricky to service along the way because it's a bit custom-made. But I think you can just wear it for a few years until it breaks and move on.

Steve quoted me $428 for the BLSF Superocean.

I’ve had many of the SOHII 42mm from GF whilst the are fantastic in every way one consistent part was the AR, some were blue like gen and some had clear, so depending on the batch I guess. I currently have a blue dial one and all is perfect on so am very happy with it - happy enough that I sold my gen SOHII 46mm as it is that close.

I’ve also had many of the VSF Aqua Terra, not a fan of the green. For me the best variation is the white with orange hand accents. I did find on some the watch did “rattle” sometimes but not all so will be batch issues.

I have a GOF SOHII and it has the clasp that your watch has. Not the one pictured above.

Looks like GF was fucked up before the 2nd Gen clasp came out, I just found out SOH originally came out with two different clasps in different period of time, which we all I guess have the 1st one because of the GF not surviving towards the second GEN production

I read somewhere that the reason Breitling has so many different clasps was because they kept changing manufacturers often.
