I want to buy a gift to my wife.
I need helf from Expert with the choice. I have identified two models for myself:

1. Chanel J12 38MM BV+
2. Cartier BALLON BLEU 33MM SS AF with Swiss ETA 2671
3. Cartier BALLON BLEU 33MM SS AF with NH05A

Does it make sense to overpay more than twice for a Swiss movement?
TD says:
Swiss ETA 2671 Automatic movement 28800 VPH (Same thickness as genuine, the Genuine CAL.076 is modified by the same movement, exact same modification and polishing as genuine)

Will it really be a 1 in 1 movement like in the original? And If something breaks, will it be possible to take original spare parts?

Maybe you can give me some alternative models?
The most important requirements: the watch must be mechanical with good movement, and as close as possible to the GEN.

Thanx in advance!

Personally, I'd never want to pay for a "Swiss" movement from a Chinese supplier. It's impossible to know the quality of what you're paying extra for.

I'd always get the basic rep from the TD and buy the Swiss movement from a reliable source elsewhere, then do the swap myself (or get it done by a watchsmith if DIY isn't an option).

These models aren't in my area of knowledge, so I couldn't suggest any alternatives.

My wife owns the gen Cartier, and about 2-3 year ago I bought her the same rep (one you listed with clone 2671) as a beater watch. The faux Cartier is a close enough replica of the gen, but my wife disliked the bracelet and case finish. Also, it kept poor time. After a month or two, she gave the watch away to someone as a gag gift.

Many women I know do not like reps. Some abhor them. My wife tolerates them, because she is used to seeing my boxes of them, but refuses to wear reps to work or any social functions. Unlike me, she has thin skin and would not be caught wearing a rep, even though I repeatedly assured her no one would know. You should find out what your wife likes before spending money on a rep. Finally, never give you woman rep watch and tell her it is gen. Women have uncanny eagle eyes for microscopic details. She will find out, and then you are in the dog house for 3 months.

Thanks for the comment.

That was the point of buying a rep watch. I bought my wife a GEN omega constalation, after a year the watch looks terribly worn. I wanted to buy a rep of the same, but it has a diamond-set bezel and the copy will not repeat them.

Therefore, I decided to look at a steel watch or ceramics that will be very similar to the original, and if she likes the shape, then buy the original

If you're looking for a stainless steel ladies watch, the 3KF Pakte 7118 is nice and comes with a clone movement of the patek 324SC. It's very close to gen. Although you get all the problems of clone movements (very hard to repair / service due to lack of spare parts).

They're just not that into their watches are they?!? I'm about to push the button on a Datejust or an Oyster Perp with rhodium face

She's got one she picked up in HK about 20yrs that she still loves so I'm just updating what she has and keeping it safeshe also has a decades old J12 - the white ceramic one with a Japanese movement. Has kept perfect time forever. That's her "gym" watch.

any idea which dial colour for 7118 is the most accurate? feel like getting the blue dial but white/grey seems the safest with all things rep

No idea how accurate blue is vs. gen. But you’re not wrong about grey / white — easier to replicate than blue.
