5-10-2025 Ordered directly with Steve on WhatsApp, and paid deposit.

5-14-2025 Steve let me know QC pics would be about 2-3 weeks out, Steve’s contact info all updated per his post.

5-18-2025 Reached out to Steve to add a VSF youth model Cookie Monster to the buy list. Deposit made on that. Now awaiting QC for both watches.

5-21-2025 Received QC pics for the VSF, green lighted. Balance paid for vsf.

5-23-2025 Tracking for the vsf received, still waiting for QC on ARF.

5-28-2025 Received QC for ladies ARF, Redlighted/ Rejected, pointed out my observations and reasons for the redlight and waiting a reply via email.

5-28-2025 Prompt reply about my QC concerns/issues. Eager to help, Awaiting Steve’s guidance.

5-28-2025, another set of QC pics of only the rehaut received. Rehaut crown engraving is out of alignment substantially with 12oclock, I green lighted the rehaut however as it’s so small, one will never notice. Waiting on correction of other noted concerns. I’ll include a pic of updated rehaut in a reply to this thread.

5-28-2025 Steve and his team are working diligently to find substitutes for the one I rejected. Picked 2 substitutes and waiting for reply on availability.

5-29-2025 Selected a substitute watch with Steve, waiting on qc. See new selected ladies ARF DJ, essentially same watch, different dial.

6-3-2025 Email received, screen shot of email posted below. They found a problem with the watch before sending QC..

Reasons for rejecting/redlighting the watch.

1) Rehaut doesn’t appear to be engraved, I understand that in some picture this can be difficult to see so if it is engraved, it’s done so very weak, weak enough that I can’t see anything.

2) cyclops appears to be canted down on the right, not squared over the date window, I understand picture angle can be very deceiving however it appears like this in every picture of the watch.

3) The movement appears to be in horrible shape, screw heads partially stripped/ turned out, what appears to be dirt or corrosion through out, an odd engraving on the rotor of “ LUKCOM”?

I don’t feel as this is on par with ARF quality, having owned and currently own several ARF watches. Either a bad day at the factory (?) or very poor QC Pics. Pics below for reference.

Updated QC of rehaut pics, whether it was replaced or just better pics taken I’m unsure, that wasn’t clarified. The rehaut is out of alignment however I green lighted this issue, it’s small enough for me not to care. Waiting on reply about the cyclops and movement concerns.

Straight up, I can’t even believe they sent that to me for approval.

A little research has informed me that not a whole lot of care goes into some of these ladies watches, regardless of factory.

Thing is, is if this is what a 400 dollar ARF ladies DJ looks like, I’m better off buying a shitter for her. We will see what happens with the next set of QC..

I’m obviously trying to be as thorough as I can be with this order review/process. Because There’s not a whole lot of info out there on these ladies sized watches.

we are all told to do research as the info is out there, and that is true for men’s watches and the differing factories for each models, this not however true for ladies watches. So maybe this helps some poor soul that’s also trying to score a good rep for his wife or mom.

I’m really hoping I don’t receive a shitter level watch for the 450+/- that I’m spending on it. This watch is obviously not for me and although who it is for isn’t exactly a watch nerd, she’s seen and handled all of my reps, so we’re expecting the same level of quality. Time will tell.

I tried to talk her into a 36 OP cause I can actually find good info on them.. if the next set of QC is garbage I’ll probably have that discussion with her again..
