KW PAM 505 Slow Date Change

So I noticed that my 505 gradually changes date between 11pm and 12am, as opposed to a quick date change around midnight like some other watches I own. Based on some reading, I believe this is completely normal, even on gens. There was some unclear advice about not messing with the date wheel between 10pm and 4am due to the fact that the slow date change may be in play and winding might screw something up. Anybody got a definitive guide to the do's and dont's? There seems to be conflicting info out on the inter webs. Thanks in advance!

Thats normal on the 7750s. Do not quick-change the date between 8pm and 2am, due to date gears being engaged at that time.

The simplest is to adopt a strict rule:
First set the time to 6 o´clock (always/by instinct)
than set the date
than set the time

6pm is fine too.

The reason why you cant change the date between 11pm-2am-ish, is because the wheel is engaged enough to apply pressure against the teeth of the DW. But if you do, no worries, just send it to me =P

I'm pretty new to things myself but I believe it's important that it's 6AM and not PM?

It's just important to make sure that the time is as far away from 11 to 2, that's the reason for the hour at 6 position.

That´s also valid for an Asian 7750 , or just the original swiss 7750?
It sounds to me to have readed the Asian 7750 clones, are "somehow" improved and do not suffer such problem, although they have many others.
Since my memory is fainting day after day :-( it would be very kind from you if you can confirm, asian 7750 are also affected.
Thanks in advance.

I can promise you the Asian 7750 was not improved. Usually you can set the date at some other time on the a7750 because they didn't set the hands correct. I had 3 in the last year that started date changes between 3 pm and 11pm. Simple enough fix once you know. I have 'ground' a Swiss 7750 and 2824 both were gen Breitlings, had a moment of fear and they kept running fine for years until I sent them for service. Always best to play it safe. And do not 'rewind' time once the date clicks over unless you have a gen Pam 233 or the likes.

Thanks to everyone for chiming in. Seems like required reading, as I never would have guessed that I was potentially screwing up my movement by not paying attention to when I was changing the date. Still lovethe 6 o'clock suggestion. Set to 6, change date, can't go wrong. Easy enough.
