Ok, watch still going: and just done a strap change pics later.Screws came out ok..ish but upon tightening one seemed to be weak(spinning but lug secure) so i hope its just a poor screw.Anyone suggest where to get replacements that dont cost a fortune to ship to the UK?

You can find some in UK at watch obsession.
Globally the screw are not so great in quality in the KW388. Just buy a set of 4 screws and change them and you are good then !

+1 These ones have rubber gaskets to help keep the tightness of the screws.

which version do you have? the V1 or the V2, I thought they fixed the problem in V2
