KRF Black Bay 36 - Crooked Markers and TD Refund?

I have been trying to buy a KRF Black Bay Blue 36mm from a TD. The QC pics of the 1st one had a crooked 9 o’clock marker, on the second the 3 o’clock was much closer to the edge of the dial than the 6 and 9 o’clock. Not trying to be a PITA to the dealer but this was stuff you could see a mile away. Now the TD wants to refund saying he cant get a good watch - I asked him if he can find a black dial that has straight/spaced markers. I have several other Black Bays and the dealers I bought from had no problem getting a watch with straight markers, have I just been lucky or does KRF factory have problems? The ones I have seen in the two threads on this model look great.

Also could these markers be moved by a watchsmith or would you destroy the dial doing so?

You usually can’t move the markers nor would it be worth paying to get it done. You might have to just wait a few months until the factory updates the dial. Or try another TD that might have access too older or newer stock.

This is the first time this has happened so I wanted to ask how many watches will TDs usually provide QC pictures of before they say to heck with it and refund you?

It varies how many a TD will show you. If your TD has reached his limit, it's time to move on. A skilled watchmaker can adjust markers easily. Your cost would be less if you were able to remove and reinstall the dial yourself.

He showed me two and wants to refund.

If it were me I would see about choosing a different watch. Failing that, take the refund and shop elsewhere. I once had a TD tell me the factory closed down and the watch I wanted was no longer available after showing me two and sending them back. I was shown two more different ones from another TD and took the 2nd one. It is a burden on them to have to reject. AFAIK they don't QC watches coming from the factory.
