Just received two new U-Boats (pics) !!

Hi guys! I was always Tag Heuer and Omega fan but lately I started to look U-Boat watches and they became awesome to me, especially U-42, U-1001 and a Flightdeck. About a month ago I was lucky enough that my friend went to China on business trip and, as he knew I'm crazy about watches, he asked me if I want something from there. Of course I told him that I want U-Boat so few days ago he came home and today he brought me these two beauties so I thought I should share it with you. When I looked at them, I was amazed! I think quality is great for that price ($130 for orange and $160 for white one). So enough talking, lets take a look at some pictures!

So what do you think? I think they are really great looking watches, especially orange Classico. White U-1001 is also great but I know that it doesn't exist as a genuine watch so I thought to change dial and hands to look like genuine U-1001. Does anyone knows if it is possible to do, considering that watch have tourbillon, and is it complicated to take out the movement, replace dial and put it back in? I don't have much experience in watch repair so I don't want to screw something up. Thanks in advance!

No point changing the dial of the U1001. Since our TD here sells the U1001.

Thanks for reply! I know that but lately I have problem with my custom because they don't allow to import replicas in my country and fines are too high so I don't want to take a risk. My friend have some acquaintance in custom and he was lucky to import these watches. So because of that I thought it would be better to change the dial as I already have similar watch. I know I will lose date function but I think it would look much better than now. If someone knows how to do it, I would appreciate any advices. Thanks!

Which country are u located? I would suggest your friend to Guangzhou. Since mostly rep comes from there. There u might be able to find U1001 equipped with a 21j movement? Since its really no point changing cus firstly, the dial, u/we don't know is it the same size as the U1001 dial. Im not trying to be a dick here, but thats just my two cent. As i mean its require a lot of effort, time consuming and money wasted on this project/mod or whatever we called.

I'm from Croatia. My friend is also from my country but he goes in China once a year. This custom stuff are big problem for buying replicas so I don't know how to buy this U-1001 that you are suggesting or any other rep. I thought I would buy this dial and hands from WatchInternational as I have seen that they are pretty good dealer but now, when you said it's not so easy, I don't know what to do with this watch. Do you maybe know how much would it cost and is it possible that some watchmaker can do it instead of me?

Why don't you contact one of the TD here do they ship to Croatia? I bet they would suggest use triangle shipping which is the watch from the UK is being ship to your country so the chances of being seized is slim?

I was buying watches before from our TD's but now I can't do this because lately I have problems with importing replicas in my country so I can't order anything what is fake, only genuine stuff. So it is only reason why I want to do this mod on my watch. I hope there is someone that can give me advice how to do it and how much would it cost. Thanks!

just out of curiosity? how big is the face of the watch, 50 or 53? Im guessing 60, but measure from the end to end of bezel. Also, is the movement 7550 and does the chronograph move properly? the U1001 looks like a fantasy u110 though

Both watches are 50mm, or to be exact 49mm from end to end of bezel. Chronographs don't move correctly so it isn't 7750. I think that orange one have 21j movement but I'm not sure for U1001. Here are the pics of movements. Could you tell me precisely what are these movements?

And I know it looks like a fantasy U1001 so I want to change the dial and hands but I wonder if it is hard to do and how much would it cost. I have read about your project on Flightdeck so it looks like you have some experience with watch repairing and modding. Could you give me some advice how to do it on mine? I want to get something like this:
