Just received a PAM127 NOOB and have a few questions

I received a PAM127 from a TD yesterday. It seems to have some problems but wanted to get others input. Here is what I am seeing:

1) There is no hacking feature. The first time I pulled the crown, the second hand stopped. The second and each subsequent time, it continues to move. I also can only set the hour/minute in a clock wise direction. If I move it counterclockwise nothing happens.

Just wondering if this is normal, as it does not seem to be. Thanks.

The hacking feature is not present in the 6497 movement, that's normal.
In time setting position you should be able to adjust the hands in both directions though. Are you sure you pulled the crown out enough?

Thanks for the reply. Something definitely seems off as the minute hand was hacking when I got it (evidently it shouldn't) and now it isn't hacking.

The crown is out all the way. If I turn the minute hand counter clockwise it will move a few centimeters but then stop working. Almost as if the crown is coming unscrewed from the stem.

Maybe that's indeed what is happening. I'd bring it to a lo am watchsmith and see.
