Hi everyone

I have just received my new PAM000 from toro with the rubber strap after several emails and communications it has finally arrived.
However I can't seem to get it to start working.. I have already tried winding it up but the minutes goes by and the minute hands does not seem to move at all.. I have already contacted toro about this problem..

What could you suggest? :( quite sad my first purchase is going the wrong way but hope it gets fixed

Thanks

Sorry to hear that. Does it sound like it's running? How many winds have you given it? Before opening the back, maybe try shaking it a few times. Could be something that's not catching. Hopefully something minor. Keep us posted.

@ShiroTenshi yes I've already set the time and waited for several minutes after winding.. No change

@dailow5 I can't seem to be hearing any ticking of the balance wheel & I've given at least 10 winds now and the crown is starting to kick back already :/ I'll try shaking it now

Thanks for the tip

Well, you can be a lil adventurous and use a rubber ball to remove the case back. Try to use a tooth pick and spin the balance wheel. Perhaps something is stucked.

At this point, I wouldn't wind it anymore. Otherwise, you will have another problem on your hands.

Kinda annoying considering the communication was quite mediocre & now I have to take care of this issue as well... So should I just try to open it up as @kampachi suggested?

I would at least carefully open it up and try to tinker with it, before paying someone. Might be an easy fix.

Might be something that choked the movement, e.g a screw or movement tab.
But If you can't open it up then u will need to buy a proper tool, or send it to someone who know what he is doing.

Normally, if you can wind it but watch is not moving, most probably the balance wheel pivot is not in place or could be the winding gears slipped out of the jewel. Same thing happened when i serviced some movements last week.

Glad it worked out. You also saved yourself some money, instead of sending it out.
