I think this is one of the most accurate Manual Pam rep one can buy at the moment.

Here are the reasons:

1. Correct Dial - "L SWISS L" , Tobacco Brown - not sure how accurate the color is but the crystal is A/R coated anyway, Correct Hand colors (black) with White second hands with Painted Dial.

2. TI Crown is supposed to be thinner than recent models - I found about 3-4 gen pics that are about equal size as pictured in Josh's site. And check out the flushed CG pin :)

3. Caseback - dead accurate. OP6535 & D series. I found a pic of gen caseback online and the number was off by 20 - so it was 1765... and the BBXXXXXXX # was also off by 20 too! (BBXXXXXX refers to the total production # ever made I think...) - I actually got the SWISS movement - one pictured is Asian.
Noone can see the movement anyway - which is sometimes the most definite way to identify rep/gen.

Let me know what you guys think :) I will modding this for cannon pin and superlume.

Wow, that is an accurate pam rep. Are you going to fix the canon pin? Anyways, I'm gonna go over to perfect clones right now and check this baby out...

you wanna know what i think ? looks good from front...beautiful watch...the movement...however swiss it will be....look at the pic...i cant believe Josh dares to post it !!

the GLUED ON COVER PLATE ( with the Panerai engravings ) IS SMUDDGING TO THE TOP.... 1 MORE TIME IN THE HEAT AND ITS GONNA PEEL OFF....WHAT DO I THINK??

Horologie, would you elaborate on your opinion? Have you had bad experiences with this movement or with josh? I am now considering this as my next rep purchase, but if you think I should reconsider I'm interested to hear why...

Don't buy it yet - until you hear from better experts than I am :) I am not an expert at all.

I may have just convinced myself that this is an accurate pam.

Although, I suggest you check out some gen photos too. I will post some later.

please, no need to apologize...but...i get allergic....

when a dealer already posts a picture of the movement of the watch that he is selling...with such a big flaw...
what do you get in the end?

no offense -Josh, he is a very good dealer...and very responsible....but....look at this picture....not yet on your wrist and already .....fu**** up......!!

i had Pannys with glued on coverplates...i will not touch them again !...

the 61 is an absolutely a beauty !!....put a H-version swiss dagger movement / swan neck from Davidsen into this watch....and it is top top notch !

Did you have a lot of problems with the Asian movements? So far, all of mine are running fine, but am a bit worried now. I was thinking about putting one of those into my 9B project.

I would like to see pics as well. I am starting to like more the manual movements than the automatic movements.

no, i had really good experiences with the asian movements...honestly.....bought a 120 $ Pam 111and gave it to my friend in germany - he totally abused it....as a daily beater, he is a mechanic....heavy construction...wearing it to work !!
runs very precise

but i had those damn glued-on faceplates coming off !!

that's one hell of a rep...I've had it for some time now, as well - coudn't be happier with it :)

Yup, it's probably the closest historic Ti PAM Luminor rep you'll find these days, all the "bits" sit in their right place both historicaly and cosmeticaly.

Correct dial, nice case, decent crown & CG, movement is exactly A-D Series OPII as it should be, that solid Ti caseback is simply - to die for.

The only Ti historic IMO that will beat this one hands down (excluding 036MM) is PAM040, however this one comes with black Tritium 'T Swiss T' dial, and B-Series solid Ti caseback...config that hasn't been rep-ed so far.
Forumer 'Wan' has a decent 040 rep with Davidsen 'old style' T-Swiss-T dial relumed by Mark (Finepics). :)

Thanks man. so I picked a good one ;)

I get more and more confused from looking at lots (lots and lots) of gen photots regarding the crown thickness

- Is this Crown size ok? or did you end up switching to a thicker one on yours? Different gen pictures provide different thickness of the crown... I think some of the Pam 118 pictures are being passed off as 061... which I know should have thicker crown. What do you think?

The one thing that really bothers me is that the finish of the hour hand in Josh's stock photos is horrible. These are the STOCK photos, I can't imagine how horrible the QC is on this watch if that 061 was the best he could find for his pics.

I agree :) I think when I send it to Vaccum for relume, I will have him consult me on how to fix the sides of the hands... I have another watch with the same issue... you can see a bit of white... next to the black hands... it's quite bothersome actually. I would just take a black pen and take care of it :) I donno.

Yes this definately has my attention. Great find for a guy who doesn't know much about Pams. I would think after Babola s' comments you would dive right in and order it. Vaccum will do the rest.
