I'm very excited. I just made my first rep purchase in a couple months. Lately I have be wittling down my collection to only the most accurate reps. Chronomat, ingy, PO, and now the PAM 055 from davidsen

After exaustive research, I've determined this is the most accurate PAM model available. I also like it because its a bit more obscure than the standard 111, 177, ect, making it even harder to call out. It's a base model, so I'll miss the ticking second hand, but hey, I still think the white face is oh so sexy.

So far communication with Davidsen has been stellar. Pics are soon to come, as I ordered the watch shipped via EMS. Should be here early next week! Stay tuned for more....

I got mine and am going to send it off to vaccum for a crown guard mod to grind it down for a better fit. Otherwise, it's nearly perfect. Now....which strap should I get?

I agree with benbob, as close to gen as you can get and since it is obscure with a white dial and has a solid caseback, unlikely to get called out.

BTW, mine is incredibly accurate. I have had it for a week and a half and it is spot-on.

peep, I was just looking at that one last night for my 164.

I am hoping for another "bigballs" soon. I'll get in at a higher level and hope for something like that.

Elliot around? Next bigballs coming soon?

Re: Great choice

Is that the black rep strap the watch came with?

Also, I ordered my 055 with a see through case back. I know that this is incorrect but all I care about is on the wrist accuracy anyways, since I wouild never take the watch of for a paneristi. haha. I love the way the movement looks and wanted to see it. Plus, I can always swap it with a solid case back if I change my mind.

The watch is absolutely beautiful, I was never really a fan of Pams until the 055, the combination of ti base with the white dial just looks so good!
Here is a link to my 055 8)

That is the strap the Davidsen sends it on. His straps are keepers. Nice and thick and this buffalo finished black with white stitching is a nice strap indeed. Not your standard rep strap here.

I can't get vacuum to return my PM's. Does anyone else know where I can send the 055 for a crown guard grinding job to get it to fit flush? IMHO the only defect on this watch.

Have you considered filing down the crown guard on your own? Seems like it would be a fairly simple gig, ad the risk is low, since you could probably purchase another from davidsen for a few bucks. Better than waiting on PMs and the general turn around time for mail-in watch mods. Just my 2 cents.

I have. I own a Dremel and have a few polishing grinding wheels and may give that a try. I have never worked with Titanium so I am totally in uncharted waters. But, as you said. Worst case scenario is ordering another CG.

Oh hell, why not. Thanks for the post, I'll give it a try and post some pics after.

Please do that! I'm very curious to see how it turns out. The only concern I would have is the added pressure from the lever onto to crown, dueto the crown guard being closer to the watch.

Pointing out just one of the variables in modding a crown, crownguard, crownstem, case, cg/case screws - scenario. It's not as simple as it seems ... it is really easy to make them all not work together though

OK, I'm a little freaked out now. Forget the dremel. Maybe I'll just take of the CG and "lightly" polish or file to a good fit duplicating the same action on the lever that contacts the crown. I only need about 0.5mm.

Do you guys use loctite on the crown guard screws? I think I remember reading that somewhere.
