I bought one of the first PAM 243 when it comes out. I must say that I was a little disappointed of the non flat pearl of the V1.
A while ago I saw that the removal of the bezel was not too complicated (thanks to a DIY found in one of the right forum).
Then I decided to try to find a V2 bezel. I asked the dealer I bought it from but didn't get success. Then I asked if it was possible to buy a new flat pearl from the V2.
And that was possible. After a long wait (due partially to the crackdown and the UK custom issues), I finally received last saturday the pearl.
I decided to make the change yesterday evening even if I didn't got exactly the right tools (specifically something that allows to remove correctly the bezel).
So I started to remove the strap and but some tape to protect the case.
Here it's important to have the right tool (try to find the DYI to remove the bezel if you need a good advice...) because otherwise you can make some little case marks.
Once removed I tryed to unscrew the pearl but in fact it's clipped in the bezel, so I used a bracelet pin tool to remove the pearl from behind the bezel.
In fact I removed firstly one of the pin near the pearl (didn't pay attention on which one I push ) and then I did the same on the pearl. That was really easy to do !
Then I put the new pearl and the pin back in the holes. A little amount of glue behind that and that's it !! Done... My V1 with a flat pearl... (I love this watch)
