Hello folks,
Yesterday I got my Getat.

As expected it took 2 months to arrive. After payment sent I waited 2 weeks and no response, so I send a polite email and received the tracking number. More 2 weeks to the tracking start working. 1 month to deliver (Brazil Post).

Paid $173 shipped.

Whatch is great and feels very solid. It is my first Pam.
Sapphire cristal and 100m WR.
Lume is very good once charged, but fades quite fast. It is stated as C3.
AR is good.
The strap that comes with it is really great and looks like a easy $50-70 strap. The one in the pictures is a custom made that I already owned.

Yesterday I was very exited and tried all the straps I have. I manged to f*ck the screw tube head. It's working, but not looking good. So I ordered a new set.

Overall I am very pleased.

Just a few tries and you already messed up a screw tube? Spend a few more dollars and you would have a good PAM rep already.

Seems ok with the water resistance, but otherwise I would go with a pam111 rep all day long.

That's the point. This boy is going to swim a lot. If they at least make reps with good whater resistance ...

Don't trust your Getat to be better than a PAM111 rep in terms of WR.
They are pretty much done with the same parts, with probably some of them made in the exact same factory.
If you plan to dive, it is recommended you test your watch.

i've owned 3-4 getats in the past. they have all broken with in 1 month or less.

The last one I bought was a Pam 232 style radiomir and the plexiglass crystal fell right out... there was nothing retaining it.

In my luminor models various movement screws fell loose and entire movements fell apart.

I see no reason to ever buy anything from Getat. It takes at least 2 months for any thing to get shipped. there is zero communication and the product falls apart almost immediately.

Those were the dark days before I discovered RWI and true reps from TD's.

Never again.

Well, first time I see someone with your problems (about the watches, communication is really poor). Most of the reviews on the internet are actually very good.
Mine feels very solid and is doing great so far ...

not sure if that is correct, but a mate told me that there are different guys and factories operating under the getat name, hence the different quality of watches that look to be the same

I hope yours lasts for a very long time and you enjoy it to the fullest.

I love my PAM homages! I got them a good 5 years ago from a different factory (I believe it's a factory, a little bit "obscure" when it comes to identify from where they are) at a very, VERY inexpensive price. Great builds, solid watches, I love their straps, and the best of all for me personally: they take a beating, they take showers, pool swims, dips in the ocean, whatever it is I want to do, I'm not worried about them, as they're inexpensive to buy. All of my watches have endured and survived all of the abuse I've put them through (except for one, which my sons just had to push off the kitchen counter, dropping onto a stone tile floor).

I always thought I could care less for reps, be abusive with them and just have them as beaters, but they've grown on me so much from day 1, I treat them super carefully like my gens.

Oddly enough, I get the feeling g that the majority of rep AND gen enthusiasts do not like homages (to put it mildly).

It looks awesome, though. But you may have a point. Which one would you suggest?
