Very spiffy website. Not sure why it's called the dark side, the dark side of what exactly?

I got my first 2 reps as a gift from a friend who spent some time in China. But it wasn't until I went to Canal St in New York that realized how addicting they can be. I bought 12 for about $30 a piece. I didn;t know about the different quality grades or waht to look out for but at the time I didn;t really care. Out of the 12, a Bvlgari, a Cartier Santos and a Cartier Tank were for me. They look and feel very much like the original.

Ever since I got back, I have been curious to find out more about them. So, I've done some research, learned about the different types of movements, etc., and realized how sophisticated they can be. Now, I'm really hooked!

So, what' next on my list? Well, that's where you guys (and gals) come in. Any girls out there with links to your favorite reps? I would love to get some suggestions, even if they are uncommon brands or styles.

Hey, Kelli, I just realized we didn't answer your question, sorry (we bad!)

This site came about during a rather tumultuous time involving some other rep sites. A lot of members of other boards were kinda looking for a more stable, peaceful and friendly place to hang out. One of the members of another board (DrmMaster) took the leap and created RWI, and brought along a few other quality members as admins. In the early days (well a couple months ago!), members that fled the "established" places were looked down upon by some (not all), and we were considered an unlikely-to-succeed renegade bunch of discontented misfits.......kinda like going over to the "Dark Side".

We were proud of our independance, and looked upon our "second-class citizenship" as a challenge to do it right..........and we have.

This, of course is MY explanation of what transpired (never know what goes on in the back room at 3:00am :shock: )

Hell, the cow thinks we're all devil-worshippers :twisted:

Hello Kelli and Welcome to the Dark Side!

While I will not disagree with the Goat in any way ( he bites ya know), the Dark Side name came from 2 other places too. First, most of the rep forums have a light grey or white theme, so with this place being all black one member dubbed us the Dark Side of the rep world. Second, most of the purist forums for watches refer to people buying replicas as turning to the Dark Side (in reference to the bad guys in star wars). In the end, we just like being the black sheep of all the watch forums. LOL

Now, as far as suggestions go......

I will tell you and most of the members will agree that a woman wearing a Panerai is about the sexiest thing in the world. So this would be my suggestion. The next would probably be either the Crazy Hour, which my wife wears or the Chanel J12 which she will soon be wearing.

You may want to look at Joshua (Jos Nana) or Precious Time. They tend to have more in the ladies department. You may also want to take a look at Schiuan and Ruby's Tiffany collections as well as Precious Times Bvlgari jewelry (My wife loves it).

Its really tough to find something other than a square or rectangular ladies watch in the Rep world

even tougher if you are looking for a 25mm smaller round watch...but Joshua and PT have some nice ladies watches and if you find something you like elsewhere let our dealers know...maybe they can source it for you....most dealers here are pretty good that way...at least they will look
