Just bought an SA dial on eBay

I don’t know if it’s gen, figured someone here may know. It was listed as a gen SA II dial, but I’m going to ask Strodda if it can be put into an old SA of mine that had the chrome come off of the numerals and has been laying in my parts drawer for 7+ years. If so I may swap a Swiss 7750 in it with a decorated rotor too, and make my first franken.

Strodda put a gen dial in my SA. Not sure of SA II. I used the model numbers when I bought the dial.

Yeah, I’m hoping to find out if the dial is gen. Even if it’s not it was only $75 so I’m not going to complain much. LoL

I’m pretty sure they didn’t change the case itself between the I and II, but you never know.

Dial came in today. Lume is WEAK. Guessing it's a rep dial, but it was only $65 and will get one of my watch box parts watches back in wrist worthy condition once it's slapped on, and the watch is serviced.

Odd I would have said it is gen. Lume markers are placed nicely and text on the back looks something rep would not have.

That's great. I'll just get it relumed when I get it swapped out. I thought it was by the part number on the back, but I'v never see the arabic dial close enough to tell rep from gen. Now if Strodda has a little time maybe I'll get my first franken made. I just have to find replacement bezel screws, because the pressed in screws in the bezel came out, and I don't think a complete gen bezel will fit the version of rep SA I have,

also i recommend you buy gen hand set and swiss 7750. I have same build, base rep SA from H factory, gen dial, hands, swiss 7750 and gen bracelete.

That's what I thought. I have to take some pictures of the SA I want to swap it into to see if its a V1 or V2. I don't think you can put a gen bezel on a V2 at all, and it takes the work you mentioned on the V1. If I can find replacement "screws" to press into the bezel on it I'm not even worried about swapping the bezel. I have to wait for my wife to get up to take pics to post in the modding section. I used to know all the details about the V1, V2, and V3 6 years ago, but I've slowly forgotten it all. Thanks for the help.
