just arrived , explorer 1 39 mm

I have just received this explorer . I think there are a couple of things not quite right but I can live with such as
hour and minute hand seem a bit longer then they should be , rehaut engravings go out of line after about 20 minutes each side of 12

the clasp feels very nice , the crown is a bit hard to screw in after winding it up but I think most are like that .

but if you see from the photo , the SEL fits a bit low on to the watch itself , also on the under side it doesn't fit like I would have thought , any way to fix this ?

just one thing that I would like to share . this watch was delivered to me in London u.k. by air china for $16 and it took the same amount of time ( 5-7days ) as my other order by dhl or one of the other delivery services where I was charged $35

You bought from a TD here? If so it should still be good, even if you didn't there's still a chance this isn't a POS yeah the hour hand looks a tad funny but that's the only thing, apart from what you said about the movement... The SEL don't look that bad... Enjoy it

thank liam , yes it was from a TD here . I only noticed the hour hand after I accepted it , its a little bit longer than it should be I think .

if you see the bottom 2 photos , do you know if there is a way to fix the SEL to sit higher up so there isn't a gap ?

No problem, us brits gotta look out for each other

I have seen the pics, I believe the only way to "fix" it is to sand down the SEL but I wouldn't trust myself to sand anything on a watch...

How much did you pay for it mate? Because I have seen worse: too thick bezel, big crown, wrong case etc. Yours is a bit decent. Just change the hands and align the dial. Cheers.

when you say align the dial , do you mean so that the rehaut engravings line up ?

because the crown at 12 on the rehaut is spot on so I can't . plus I would have the know how . thanks for your advice though
