here it is, the sister of my 111H, a 113 also from DSN!

it´s a nice looking watch and i´m very happy that i changed my "063". but i think there are som small "things" about it.
the crown looks that it´s to tight to the case, the lume on the "dots" around the dial is very poor. what do you think?

is DSN the best rep-realer? or are ther somebody close to him?
DSN have missed things that i have asked him, and it is not the first time!

I dont think the lume was ever that great on the white dial PAMs. I had a PAM 55 (im sure it was from DSN, Bought it through the previous owner) and the lume didnt hold for very long, and it wasnt the brightest. The 55 though was a Ti case, and the crown wasn't tight like yours, so icant really say anything about that.

Either way you can always relume and have the crown fixed if your really out for the real look.

On a side note, the white dial PAMs look amazing on Dark brown straps [like a thick buffalo grain w/ white stitching, need some texture (buffalo or croc/gator) to it], or on a lighter disstressed brown (vintage look, or a really beat but strap)

Have a good one,
Andrew

Don't take offense to this, reklam, but I think you're looking for the "perfect" rep based on your statements about this watch and your previous 063. And there just isn't a perfect rep out there. There are some that are pretty good straight from the factory and those can be made VERY good with some carefully planned modifications, but none of them are perfect.

I don't see a thing wrong with your 113. The crown looks just fine to me, for a standard rep crown. Just like I said in your thread about your 063, the spacing between the case and the crown varied from watch to watch on GEN Panerais. I really don't see this as a flaw with your watch. However, if you'd like it spaced farther away from the case, I'm sure a watchsmith could adjust the winding stem for you and get it more to your liking.

I have a PAM010D from Davidsen that uses the same style "dot" hour markers as your watch. The problem with the lume appearing "weak" and not lasting as long as others is related directly to the size of the lumed area. The more of the luminous material you can put on the watch, the brighter it will be and the longer it will last. Well, with these little dots being the only area you can apply lume to, it will never be as bright or last as long as a sandwich dial (or even a sausage style dial).

In short, there's nothing "wrong" with your watch. Wear it, enjoy it. Then decide in a month or two if you want to invest in some modifications.

once again, the crown sitting on case issue. they do not all stick out from the case far enough to drive a truck through and the crown leaver pin is not always flush with the crown guard. panerai is a very inconsistent watch manufacture. lol

gen 005 lifted from the risti site, enjoy,

Well, "the best" is really up to personal preference. DSN offers a lot of models that other dealers simply don't offer. His dials on some models are not as accurate as other dealers offerings.

DSN's quality control is often hit and miss, unfortunately. However, it's not any worse than the dealers that drop ship their items.

I think the best thing is for you to decide what watch you want next, then we can offer opinions on who is the best dealer to get that particular watch from.

Enjoy your 113. Other than possibly getting a Palpatine crown and have the CG lever pin modified, I really wouldn't even consider any other modifications for it.

well, that is a good question. lol

everybody's opinion will very on what is the best, they all have flaws and what flaws you can live with maybe something that someone else can't. i would say the general consensus is his are the best out of the box but if you want to mod one i wouldn't use his. it just depends on what you can live with. in my personal opinion if i had the money and didn't want to mod the watch i would probably buy from davidsen.

here is my 113e from ruby and modded by vac.

here is a gen,

Well, I would go for the 212, personally. The markers on the 253 are too thin and there isn't really a fix for that. The 212 rep has silver chrono hands and they should be black. You can order new hands from Davidsen, though. As for the best dealer, that's a tough one. Joshua doesn't appear to carry the 212 anymore, Trusty does, I think Silix does. Your best bet for price might be to have River, Ruby or Trevor try to find one for you. I think PureTime carries them as well.

You're in the EU, so maybe start with Silix?
