So I will start of by saying thank you to everyone on this forum for the vast amount of knowledge I have collected doing my homework on this forum for the last couple weeks. This is going to be my first real rep purchase other than some crap I bought on vacation in Mexico a long time ago. I was pretty much set on an 88 and I was going to pick one up from one of our trusted dealers in the $200-250 range (don't have $400+ for an ultimate version). Now this new 111J is out that everyone is talking about and it seems to be a much better value for something in that same price range. I really like the look of the 88, but the 111 isn't ugly by any means. I would be just as happy wearing either on my wrist. Which do you think is a better value at this point?

Mate, don't bother a jot about value, go for the one you like best and that sounds like the 88 from what you have said.

I kind of figured the 111 is gonna be the way to go. Is it really going to be a more reliable/durable piece?
I think the 111 would probably last longer bc it runs on a 6497 mvt. But honestly the 7750 is pretty reliable without the chrono. Buy what you want man or you will just end up selling your second pick after a few months to get what you originally wanted (trust me)
Yeah, I kind of figured I am going to end up owning both. I think I am going to buy the 111 for now and save up some cash to get a good 88 from DSN or Cartel.
