Hi folks,

I have purchased a Rolex with jubilee bracelet which may need adjustment to the bracelet for correct sizing.
the TD has sent a 1.0 screwdriver.
I read that the jubilee uses a 1.3 screwdriver.

am I risking damage by using a 1.0 or 1.2 screwdriver in lieu of the 1.3?

thanks in advance.

No, not really, a smaller screw driver can slip out of the screw slot and scratch your bracelet, but so can the "right" size screwdriver. You can use masking tape to tape anything you're worried about scratching. Just make sure the screwdriver is nice and straight and use a medium amount of pressure, back out the screws nice and steady and you will be fine.

I have two dedicated screwdrivers for jubilee and oyster bracelets. I shaped them to tightly fit the screw slots so slippage doesn’t occur. Using a screwdriver thats too thin results in mangled screws. A good tight fit will also provide greater torque for really stubborn screws.

I just broke a jubilee screw head today.

Couldn't get it out with pliers, but I helped myself by affixing the small electric screwdriver to the half out screw

Lol
