Not sure if anyone else has noticed but the brushed part of the jubilee bracelet is darker in tone vs reps.

Does anyone know if this is can be replicated with better rebrushing or is it a property of the metal?

Can you show an example? Brushing can't be darker itself but the texture can be more or less course and this might effect the way light reflects off of it but woud be very hard to see. Older gens may also get polished over their life, Its more likely that its the effect of the brushing grain that you can see and it will alsow depend on what model rep you are referring to vs what gen. ITs a bit of a sweeping statemnet as both (unless dirt cheapshitters) use 904L stainless or at least 316l and there is little difference to the eye on either but more the properties of the grade against corrosion.

Different factories use different tools and others use bracelets made by others.

Having both gen and rep side by side, I don't agree with your statement at all, color is almost the same for me.
Yep Ive not seen any differences myself either, light will play a huge part in it and how well the brushing is finished, some reps do have slighlty courser brushing and others have slightly softer than the gens, if course then this can be remedied using a grey scotch pad and some careful same direction brushing. I did this on my old gen 16610 years ago and then did an old rep I had kicking about to prcatice with first and almost impossible to tell the difference after finishing unless under a microscope perhaps as the RO will use a set pattern for all their brushing.

Colour of the metal should be any difference just the way the light affects it perhpas preciuos metal models are another thing those Ro gold is their own smelt so getting plating to look the same tone is hard although Clean models do seem to be much better at this.

Maybe I was imagining it? I always thought the TT had darker brushed part of the link. I put them side by side for the first time today and think there’s still a slight difference in tone

I haven't noticed the difference in person myself at all. But I can see a tiny difference on your photos there, just as you mention. Those are two very good looking watches you have. Totally awesome!
