The QC and the Communication are great.
The Watch is promoted on their homepage as >30mt Waterproof but after 15 days, with normal day use (No Bath, No Swimpool, No Showering) the watch has already humidity under the Glass. I asked JTime for the reason and warranty and this is their reply:
Hi

Could you please try to put the watch into a big pile of rice for a few days, the moisture might be able to get absorbed out this way.

And I'd like to tell you that even though all the models have been waterproofed by the factories, I still don't recommend swimming, showering or diving with them.
The water resistance of the replica watches is not so reliable sometimes.
The normal daily use, like washing hands while wearing them or walking in the rain is no problem.

Best Regards,
Li

I don't think is fair. Even thoug is replica, the should not promote with warranty and Waterproof. they should tell the true as this is mining the Respect and trustworthiness of their company.

JTime doesnt make your watch.

The 30m shit advertised on all dealer pages is BS. Their websites are always like that.

Watch is not assembled in a dehumified negative pressure environment.

Probably assembled in a high humidity environment and when exposed to colder air now the moisture is fogging up.

Live and let learn and just chalk it up to bad luck.

Leave the crown open in a plastic ziploc bag with lots of silicon dessicant packages.

Generally there's also a statement in their sales section, at the end, you can see it by scurrying the page. It says that the waterproof of the watch is merely an asserction and they suggest to never use it with water. Only a waterproofing made by a good watchsmith can protect a rep.

Thank you. It's definitely a lesson learned. As I consider it always as a Rep Watch, the Priced I payed is not something that you can ignore. It's almost $500...anyway...now I know

It's usually because the factory tells the dealer the watch is waterproof to X meters. The dealer then just advertises what the factory says.

If you bought a car brand new from a dealer.

The dealer is told from the car manufacturer "you can tow 1000kg with it no issue". The dealer tells you the same.

You tow 500kg then the car breaks. Will you blame your dealer or the car manufacturer?

At the end of the day this is replica watch with 0 standards or guarantees made illegally.

That is why we just take the dealer guarantee with a word of salt. Most members will tell you that whatever dealer says they will still pressure test and regrease seals to ensure waterproof standards.

It's normal. Sometimes things go wrong. I bought over 40 watches. I had about 6 broken or issues. They were not cheap either. Just how the game works. We can't change it. Just adopt a postive mindset.

My suggestion is to try and work with JTime. First talk to them and work something out. Like you take to a watch maker to pressure test and ensure it is ok and they refund you $100 euros.

As I am new to the Reps, this is probably the experience I had to make anyhow.
In you example, I blame the Manufacturer, but, as it common in the EU, I paid the car to the dealer which is the last one responsable for the Warranty and the Cashflow. So, yes, I agree, manufacturer is to blame but for the Warranty is Jtime responsible toward me, as they are promising something to me and for this promise they are taking the money.

There is no such thing as a water proof watch, even in gen form. If you read through the forum, you'll see that it's wise to have the watch tested when it arrives in your hand. You're paying a tiny fraction of what a Gen would cost you. Therefore you cannot expect perfection.

Hi Op
Sorry to see what happened to your watch.
But I think some experienced members here gave you some kind advise already.
Anyways, something I would like to say is we are not really hiding any info on all of our products.
Waterproof standard on all replica watches is low indeed, bad things and bad lucks can happen sometimes on some pieces, this shall be a common sense already if you can do some more researches over on this nice forums.
And we are willing to do some support for your case as well if we can communicate mutual respectfully.

I understand your frustration with the IWC Pilot watch. It’s a bummer when something doesn’t live up to expectations, especially when it’s something as crucial as being waterproof. I know they advertise these watches as being able to handle water, but sometimes the marketing can be a bit misleading.

From what I’ve heard, "waterproof" in watch terms often means they can handle splashes or brief submersion, but not necessarily swimming or diving. It’s like saying your phone is water-resistant; you wouldn’t want to dunk it in a pool. Maybe it’s worth checking the specific water resistance rating of your watch. They usually have some indication, like 30 meters or 100 meters, but even then, it doesn’t always mean what we think it does. 30 meters often means it can handle rain or hand-washing, not going 30 meters underwater.

I have completed the post don't be so nervous the nerve cells are not recovering ;););)
In general.

Almost watches can be made "waterproof" and reps can too. Many members here, including myself have watches that are tested to 3 bar.

But however, please consider that being tested to 3 bar does not guarantee it will be 3 bars forever. Rubber seals degrade and or can get caught or the silicon grease dries out and the gasket ring slowly loses pliability and therefore water sealing ability.

Is it worth it for you to take the watch in the water? What if the gasket fails and/or you forgot to properly screw the crown/pushers down? Then your rep just became paper weight and is very difficult and a hassle to fix.

For this reason I only take watches that are beaters, cheap, or run a reliable movement to go swimming with.

Even gen watches, if you truly read the recommended guidelines, it says if you regularly take your watch into the water then it is recommended for a yearly pressure test.

Past diving and recreational swimming I don't reccomend replicas for true diving. Get a GShock or a Citizen. My Citizen Promaster Diver guarantees ISO diver tested water standards, will hold for 10 years no issue, and is so cheap at $180 that I could afford to buy 2 for the price of 1 VSF sub.

Since the topic of waterproofing has come up, can anyone recommend a watchsmith or RWI member that can do this for a fee? I found someone on this forum a few years ago that would do it (and to this day, I can still swim with the watches without any issue) but he has since “retired.”

Any help or recommendations would be awesome.

If you can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that YOU did not expose the watch to water, I'm sure you'll get your money back.

I had a custom-made replica watch, much more expensive than $500, and it fogged up in the rain. As others stated, dry it out, then get it serviced and water-proofed by a local watch smith.
