Josh's SFSO is advertised as 1000 meter waterproof... has this been verified? Wowsers!

Very unlikely you will go to that depth (even the genuine watch owner). As far as I am concerned, SFSO has really good case and gasket. I am not surprised if the majority of rep can break 100m barrier.

My watch smith testet my SFSO with a Bergeron vaccum test tool and the watch passed 500m test without any problems. 500m was the limit of the tool :D

thanks to Taka for the seeling he did on that watch after reluming.

The deepest I have ever taken a watch was 280m, the deepest I have ever seen a watch go was 335m. Both were gen Seadwellers. I have taken Seikos as deep as 230m with no ill effect. In my opinion most of the ridiculous depth ratings are nothing but gee whiz facts so some jerk-off who never gets his watch deeper than the swimming pool can say " it's rated to 1000m" so what! I have found most any decent Seiko or Citizen or Casio can handle a lot more depth than the typical owner will ever take it. Of course in decompression the Casios almost always blow up because they have no crown to unscrew so Helium expansion becomes a problem. If your watch ever goes 1000m either it will be going there without you or you won't care about your watch at that point!

Good point. The most I've done was to take it in my shower... granted, my shower can be a very "pressurized" environment... :p
