JLC Reverso with seconds display - Gen movement vs Rep movement (quartz)

I'm seeing that every rep maker is using quartz movements for the Reverso. Now for the ones without the seconds display, this shouldn't be an issue.

But isn't this a DEAD giveaway for a rep for the JLC Reverso's with the seconds display? It keeps ticking whereas the gen uses the sweeping motion?

Also, what is the differences between the 1931 version and the other versions?
