Originally I thought the quartz movement was a huge giveaway of not being genuine...but after some googling...it appears JL made quartz movements for the Reverso. The dial printing doesn't look crisp to me, but...knowing JL made these with quartz movements, I suppose it could be the real deal. Probably need a view of the movement to see if it has JL markings on it.
Ok well that is interesting, i had it checked by Fellows (online auction house) here in the Uk and they just went straight to "its not a genuine watch" probably because of the dial printing, but they also mentioned a couple of other things, which i dont remember at present. But i didnt send them a photo of the mechanism as I didnt think more of it at the time and only possibly opened it subsequently to change the battery myself, which now i am a little giddy about, knowing that IF it is a genuien watch, i would have probably prefered to take it into a watch dealer to have changed. Still i manated to swap it without too much trouble and it is ticking by quite happily at present. I am adding some shots of the mechanism and back side of rear plate. Thanks for looking into it Specter, hope new images help somewhat.
PS: so just looked at photos on my computer, and i can clearly see the mention on a japanes watch mechanism in there... hmmm ok ill let the experts jump in on this one.
