JF rep movement OP.XI for PAM127 from hont?

I had a problem. My pam127 (presumably zf) got a breakdown of the movement, and now the local master offers repairs with a base price of $ 215 without taking into account the necessary parts.

When i found out from TD what plant produced this movement, I was told that jf.

I know they make great APs, but never seen their rep pam. Moreover, I have never heard of their movements for pam. From the photo it is difficult to determine the quality of the finish and the general similarity with gen.
Any opinions about this movement?

Given the similar cost, would it be worth changing the broken movement zf to jf?

The old Asian 6497 as a donor is, however, I am not sure about the details of it. However, this is not the case, because $ 215 is asked for the fact of repair, not including parts.

At that total cost, I would rather just purchase a Noob PAM127. If you can purchase an 6497 movement, just swap out the bridges from the broken watch so you can save on the movement. However, there is still the matter of servicing, which to me looks like the watchmaker is charging you too much for a replica.

I did not specify the cost of replacing the movement, but I suspect that it should be cheaper to repair. Alternatives: repair for $ 215+ or new for 228 and replacement, for example for $ 50-100 If you take a cheap 6487, you will have to pay for the replacement of bridges in any case, and I'm not sure that it will be cheap. I assume that +/- $ 100 should go. At the same time I will lose, because at the moment there is a fast movement 6497/2, as well as what I consider to buy, besides this, the ETA engraving under the balance .... Regarding the fact that the master asks a lot: perhaps, but I have nothing to compare with.

1. Only a watchmaker can reply to that, of which there aren't many here. Then there's the matter of you not describing the problem with your PAM127 except for breakdown which can mean any number of things. It's like asking how much is an operation at the hospital and expecting them to answer.
2. AFAIK, no one has any experience. JF only released 2 PAMs, both of them using the P.9000 automatic custom movement with gen function but with the balance wheel @9 instead of @7 like the gen. The 6497 is a manual-wind movement.

I would suggest asking other TDs and get a quote. The price is a bit too steep IMHO.
