Hi folks,

I'm now deciding which to get, 15703 v9.5 or 15710 v9.

15703 is using an asian 2824 with a closed back, while 15710 is using a miyota 9015 with clear back. Which movement is more reliable?

Also, which is closer to a gen?

Thanks!

Both of them have their flaws. Forget about getting an AP SS diver which is "close to gen". It does not exist. But I will advise you getting the 15703 so that the clearly inaccurate miyota caliber will not be visible from the back. The two movements are quite reliable but the 2824 is often quieter out of the box.

Forget about getting something just because its "closer to gen" unless you need to convince yourself or others that you are pulling off a gen. In this hobby it is about getting a nice watch you like and wearing it for yourself. If you want gen, get gen.

get 9.5 and change to swiss low beat

I actually don't mind the inaccurate movement, since I'll probably be the one guy seeing it when I take it off. I do enjoy seeing the automatic movement mechanism through the clear back.

Aside from the movement and the back case, are there any differences between the two? Suppose they changed something in the v9.5 compared to the v9?
