Only thing I'd say is those stones will never shine like a gen dial. That would be my biggest criticism.

That's a helluva blingy dial! Love it (well, apart from it being Roman numerals... they're one of my pet dislikes on a dial! Actually, I'm not that mad about Arabic numerals either... batons or plots will do me, thank you very much you're welcome.)

Those darker sunburst dials are notoriously difficult to judge (esp. from a single photo!)... so yeah it would help if you could find some more pics.

As usual, my comments are no help whatsoever, but I thought I'd chip in just for the hell of it...

The gmf (jdf) dials are usually really good. My champagne one is pretty stunning and the diamonds are quite sparkly.

@p0pperini You gave me a great giggle.. L0LZ! Agreed. Also the hands with no-lume that come with romans aren't particularly exciting eitherz. Lume provides beautiful colour contrast and some much needed spice fo' sho!

Massive thank you everyone for your kind replies. I'll ask Li if he can get hold of the dial for me, and if it's not possible I'll surely buy the whole watch for parts.

I love the quality of VSF datejusts at the moment so I plan to put the JDF dial on a VSF RG/SS 36mm. If I have to buy two whole watches for my project: JDF and VSF share the same movement so I could possibly just transfer the whole guts of the JDF into a new VSF watch case even for ease.

I found a chap on reddit who had a JDF DJ in hand. He thinks he has the steel dial/ rosegold but to me it almost looks a bit closer to the green dial/ yellowgold combo. My eyes aren't the best lol. Whichever variant it is, I'm very happy with the depth of colour and how rich the dial is.
I'll upload his pics, and hope they don't mind.

Thanks guys. Li at Jtime has just taken my order of this dial and handset parts only. If they're any good I'd love to put them in a VSF rosegold 36mm DJ. Great fun.

I received some QC pics of the dial part today and gave them the go-ahead -tbh, I'd forgotten about this attempt at a project until the QC showed up-
I'm happy that the shade of grey isn't super light and is purrrrdy to me. Whether it's depth of colour is genlike or not, I wouldn't know lol . I got unlucky and the no-lume hands I ordered got forgotten about so I may have another few weeks wait to try and get them from factory. Excited to receive this dial sometime.
