James Bond 50th Years

Hi mates,

I spent some time with my friend´s OMEGA James Bond 50th, it is very nice, he bought it here in a local rep market, that has a growing collection and nice pieces.

So here it is.

How is the HE valve position on this one?

As Spirit noticed, the He Valve is in the correct position but dont point to the correct place.

The watch is very nice, but I wish they made a v2, with correct color at the 50 mark and correct placement of He valve.

The crown and pearl are wrong also. I'm not knocking it, looks like a fun rep to wear.

The one coming from Reg has a better bezel, with corrected numbers and better pearl. Unfortunately, it's in the hands of Royal Mail, so I might get it in a couple of weeks. Useless tools!

This is the photo Reg sent me:

Far closer to gen numbers on the bezel, and the pearl is a lot better. I think it no longer had the 007 on the clasp either, but won't know for sure until it arrives.

Happy feet don't bother me on cheaper reps. No one gets close enough to see them.

Just a few photos to show the details of he 2nd version 50th anniversary:

Positives: Correct clasp without 007, helium valve has correct "He" on it and not the Omega logo, numbers on bezel are correct size now, pearl is much better.

Negatives: Happy feet on dial Omega logo, lack of marker at 3 o'clock position.

Quite frankly, the happy feet on the logo are not evident to the human eye, so I don't see the problem. Likewise, the missing marker at 3 o'clock is not apparent unless you have the gen next to it. The date window balances it all out.
