Hi Everybody,

I‘m currently working on a IWC Top Gun „Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor“ project watch (based on the normal IW3890 Top Gun Chrono).
Does anybody know where I can source a black datewheel with red numbers instead of white? Thanks.

I'd say: only at IWC. And they will not sell to you.

Unless you ask members who make custom date wheels. Problem is that they usually tend to make bulk pieces.

Where are you going to find a movement for the gen dial ? That’s the bigger issue

Great idea for a custom watch!

I always felt like there is too much of an empty space at the 9oclock area of this dial. Maybe this dial was originally meant for collaborators to stick their logos at that area. I also have a project, but in my case I would use the stickers that come with the plastic models of airplanes (Revel and Italeri, for instance).

As for the datewheel, that's a tough one. They are only viable when printed in batches.

Not gonna bash the watch but the "badge" looks like a cheap sticker imo. Maybe its an older logo(looks like something from the 60s-70s) and therefore heritage. Has anyone more informations? Otherweise I love the Top Gun collection. I ordered one myself.
