Hi guys,
After going back and forth between Mark 17, Mark 18 and Spitfire Chrono 41 for my first IWC Rep, I zeroed in on Mark XVII 17 due to its uber-cool altimeter style date and slightly bigger size which is more suitable for a Flieger watch.
I tried to find some info on MKF version its stated as NWBIG in the NWBIG list but couldnt find much, maybe due to my lack of searching skills in the forum
I am sorry if the info I seek is readily available and it becomes a duplicate post.
- Is the MKF Mark XVII still available with A2892 Eta Clone? I prefer it against Miyota as it's closer to gen's internals (I know its not really important but makes me feel good - isnt it what we all should chase while choosing a rep?) , smoother winding , correct date wheel moving direction and also more silent (I know Miyota's noise can be fixed easily so its not a big issue for me)
- I see the gen's dial is pretty textured, but the pics of MKF Mark XVII I found were low resolution so I couldnt see if the rep is also that textured - both dial and datewheel- so is there anybody that can confirm and maybe share some pics of their MKF Mark 17 ?
- also, is it worth to pay 50 bucks more and buy it with the steel bracelet as I heard the leather strap is shit? I plan to use it on a Big Pilot style deployant leather strap anyways, but keeping a steel bracelet as spare wont be bad. I am just curious if the steel bracelet & clasp is high quality and feels solid?
many thanks!
