The new IWC Ingenieur 42 Black Ceramics looks stunning!

Does anyone here think that there are realistic chances that V7 would produce a rep this year?
The challenges are probably producing in a different material and a different bezel size..
I don’t think that V7 has even attempted to produce the Ingenieur40 in titanium so far..

Any thoughts?

The fact that V7F has not yet released the titanium version is probably a blessing, considering how mediocre the titanium Mark XX is ;-)

As for the ceramic version, I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. If the strap weren't also ceramic, I would guess that M+ will be taking on the model soon. But a ceramic strap and clasp is not as simple as the APS Royal Oak Chrono shows. Who knows, maybe APS will use its new ceramic know-how and take on the Ingenieur?

The ceramic looks real nice. So does the one below. If only they rep both and get it 95% there...... The gen is supposedly €40,900! That much for a stainless steel watch, even if it's a perpetual calendar......

By the way, the green one (the ‘Brad Pitt’ ;-)) should be coming from M+ and V7F very soon. It has a new movement, but a closed back.
The golden one has a glass back, so we won't be getting a good Rep any time soon; and since the Gen weighs a hefty 245g and neither M+ nor V7F use tungsten, it's questionable whether a Rep makes sense anyway.
I'm also rather sceptical about the 42mm ceramic - neither of them have any experience with ceramic and producing a ceramic strap is anything but trivial.
We probably won't get the PC as a high-end rep either.

Ceramic probably not. Very hard to do and very few manufacturers have the experience to do ceramic bracelet.

Off the top of my head full bracelet models:

APSF Black 26240, has flaws
Apsf ceramic perpetual
Aetf white ceramic daytonas

There are many ceramic case reps but very few on bracelet. Such as Bathyscape, Omega Big Blue GMT, etc

THe Panerai 438 has a nice ceramic bracelet. It'S a much simpler construction than the AP 26240 and the IWC.
Also glass caseback. I like the closed caseback of the ingenieur. Alllows for a ETA 2892 if needed/wanted.

The Greeb and Gold dial is nice. We might get that.

I feel like the new green with gold indices and hands hasn’t gotten as much love as it deserves. Really a beautiful piece

Totally agree much nicer then the ceramic. I dont think their would be much demand for that. even the latest blue dial ive hardly seen anyone post about it so i dont think that one is popular either compared to black, white and aqua.

i would like to see that green dial made & the titanium version. The 35mm versions would look great also.

I'm convinced the blue dial would sell very well, had V7 not botched the color so bad. It has a matt blue look compared to that sparkly blue of the gen.

I too am hoping to see the "Sonny" green dial soon. It's spectacular in person! Maybe after the F1 movie releases they'll realize it's potential.

I tried the gen ceramic at an AD - a stunning watch!

Hope the factories will try to rep. Full ceramic bracelets are e.g. available for AP. So it’s possible

And I tried the Ingenieur Perpetual calendar too at the AD.

Does not convince me. Too small and really hard to read the calendar, at least because of the blue, shiny dial and the low contrast of the hands.

The leapyear indicator is so small, that I’ll need a magnifying glass to read.

Not my watch, not for 41.000€ in stainless. I prefer the Portugieser or Big Pilot Perpetual.
