Guys I've never bought a panerai before but I'm treating myself as I've spent the last 3 weeks with only 4 hours sleep per night so I could ace an exam today.

i want opinions on wet is the most authentic pan out there in terms of looks but I also want something reliable, something which will last for years? Are there issues with the manual wind?

seen a pam090 there and loved the look of it but I love them all!!

for experienced panerai watch owners, your advice is appreciated!

I'm no expert, but I love my 388. It's considered near super rep in ALE's guide.

The most authentic one is the one with the best strap. Treat Yourself with 2 of them, get 2 great straps along and call it a day. 6497 manual winds without too much decoplates and modifications on them are very reliable. Pam 111 and Pam 243 or similar. Choose a TD, pick some, than reseaarch them and keep choosing.

I just sold my 036b, too bad you missed it

I would go for a 127 any time. Or a 372 with P.3000

My personal opinion......

Marina :

Historical Panerai with OP XI (Unitas 6497) : PAM 005 - PAM 177 - PAM 000 - PAM 111 - PAM 390 - PAM 176 - PAM 127 - PAM 026K
Panerai with new manufacture caliber : PAM 372

Radiomir : PAM 346 - PAM 380 (no sup.rep.)

Submersible : PAM 243 - PAM 243J Tritium.

I did not write the self-winding models because they don't like me.
Surely there are many models considered sup.rep. But I know them only as reference. Officine Panerai must be manual winding.:whistling:
Excluding the Submersible models....

Hi guys, thank you so much for your replies, out of them all I must say the 127 is beautifull. Is there any particular factory watch I should look for, Ie noob etc, whey movements etc. Excuse my ignorance but I'm very green in regards to rep watches.

thank you all

Guys I love the 127, it is the nicest I've seen but is there any good offers on this watch from any of the TD's.

http://www.torobravos.xyz/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=900

this is week under half the price, what's everyone's opinions on this watch? Is there anywhere doing similar deals on the 127?

thanks in advance

The Noob 372 has been at that price for quite some time now as it's not using a superclone P.3000 movement. The dial is great and the watch itself is very well made. You don't need to see the inaccurate movement so I would recommend buying it. As for the PAM127, I doubt you will see the V6F and ZF versions to be selling at a similar price point. Maybe some low end version from a no-name factory, but not from these two. Let's not even bring the Noob 127 into the discussion. It is long gone.

Make sure you understand that the 127 is a big watch. 47mm. What is your wrist size?

I do have quite small wrists, will measure tomorrow.

are there any TD's within Europe that have the 378 at a similar prove to toro? I am from Ireland so worried about customs charges.

thanks

Yup! 47 as well. All info is there in dealers web sites or in ALE PAM guide linked above.
