Hi Guys,
I've resisited this purchase for a long time...it's too big, too expensive, likely to get called out on it, etc..

BUT...I just love the watch, no matter how I try and reframe it...my mind won't let it go

SO, I thought the DSN fiddy might be the way to go. However, am I right in thinking that he's having prolems with the E movement? Would I be better off spending the same dough to buy elsewhere and have it modded? Does anyone offer a similar out of the box option?

I tried Ruby and she said there are no good fiddy's at the moment....true?

Thanks for helping an addict guys :D

You could always go with one of the 6152-1 reps with the "Marina Militare" dial. The same look with no risk of being called out and you can use whatever movement you want.

DSN's RXW MM20 reps are an option also...

Mishka,
What's wrong with the E movement on the Fiddy from Davidsen?

These two look pretty similar... what's the difference?

Sorry if the difference is obvious..I'm no Panerai expert

Mish..
I had the similar dilemma & opted for a custom built 6152-1 (the Fiddys grad-daddy if you like...), with a genuine SWISS hand-wound movement, Plexi on front & back with Superlume dial & hands......and am LOVING it.
Check it out...

You can't go wrong with either 47mm beast on the wrist!

T4D had an awesome one for 350 in the past. Great movement. The engravings werent as deep as DSN and looked more on par with gen.

Saphire front AND back. It also has the the flush cannon mod. Not bad at all for the money. Get a lume job and it will be a great looking fiddy for about 450

Sorry for the late reply. The difference is that the 6152-1 is a replica of a vintage 1950s era Panerai watch (the gen would have used a Rolex or Angelus handwind movement). The MM20 is a replica of a watch that is made by a company called RXW and is meant to be an "homage" to those WWII era Panerais.

And one more thing... The RWX is what people consider a replica.. so if you get a mm20 RXW replica, you are essentially getting a replica of a replica... but the prices are good on those so I suggest that you can get a rep one... They sell for 120usd if I am not wrong...
