Time to say hello to my fellow enthusiasts and introduce myself to my new found internet family.
My name is Rich, and I live in Arizona, been here for 20+ years and I'm moving on to Tokyo, Japan to be with my fiancee, hopefully soon.

Watches... it all started when I was about 12 and I begged my father for his watch. It was huge, it was an old Seiko Automatic chrono, A.K.A. Bullhead, with a blue dial and chrono. Chrono buttons and time adjust on the top of the thick stainless steel case. Man was it sweet! Well one day when I was about 13 (I'm 35 now), he called me into my room and gave me the speech. It reminds me now of the speech in Pulp Fiction (I related instantly to that part in the movie) if any of you can recall the part with Bruce Willis.
My father had this watch in Vietnam, and to this very day I still have it, and I wore that thing everyday for many, many years. It seriously needs a good cleaning inside now and one of the chrono pushers came out, but I still have it sitting comfy in a watch case, busted chrono pusher and all. One day I'll find someone to service this piece, and I'll even wear it again when it's fixed.
And to add to that, a little story. I have been a big brother for 10+ years with the Arizona Big Brothers and Sisters. My little brother Jordan (my brother since he was 8 years old) just turned 18 back in Oct 08. Well he is a sharp young man, 5 hours away from getting his pilots license and he's a senior in HS still (awesome high school pilot program they have). After this, he'll be on his way to the US Air Force reserves and going to college as well. Well, I decided about 3 weeks ago to give him one of my cool watches I bought a few years ago. It was my Citizen Navihawk, and he absolutely loves it. A nice starter pilot watch in my opinion.

Among many things I have an interest in (my profile lists it all), watches have always been my one thing to bring me warmth and comfort. I cuddle with my watches sometimes, is that weird? LOL I'm kidding, well maybe, errrr....

In any case, I have full intentions to take pics of my collection and post them, something I have never done, but it seems like I have found a new family of friends that I can share my hobby with.
I certainly look forward to helping out and learning as well from many and all of you. And I most certainly look forward to expanding my collection.

For now, here is what I have..

GEN - Breitling Chrono Ti Avenger
REP - Panerai Black Seal
REP - Bell & Ross BR03-92 Limited Blue
REP - Bell & Ross BR03-92 Military Type
GEN - Vintage Seiko Bullhead chrono early 1970's era

GEN - G-Shock LOL, had to mention it
GEN - Ex- Soviet Tank drivers issued watch
REP - Rolex Yachtmaster my first rep every from almost 10 years ago and still running strong

Well, I apologize in advance for my lengthy introduction. I look forward to your replies and if you have them, questions. Thank you in advance and take care.

Best regards,
Rich~

You know, what a great introduction and to be a big brother is very admirable. Gents what do you say about giving something back to this new member?

Rich, congratulations you just won the first Certificate of 20 to be given away during our 3rd year celebration raffle. Make sure you make it over to the contest area and enter to win one of three watches from one of our generous dealers, Watcheden who BTW has also provided the certificates.

I will PM the details shortly. Congrats and Welcome! :D

If you like that, trying watch spooning. Or how about a watch sandwich with you in the middle. lol. jk, don't try that.
You sound like an awesome big brother! What cool stories. I'll be wearing my new rep YM to my good friends wedding tomorrow. He's marrying a nice Japanese girl and wants to move there as well.

Welcome to the forum!!

VIPKing good to have you here......being from the UK, i have no idea what a Big Brother is exactly but, i can kinda guess, and if it warrants a raffle certificate and VIP upgrade then, brother, you are most welcome!!

New to the forum but you come bearing an already extensive watch collection.......you'll fit right in

It doesn't take much for us to switch a simple intro into dirty talk does it!

I'd sort of assumed that was the official initiation process, like hazing freshmen for fraternities.

Give it a bit of time. Anne-marie probably IS a lady. Seanf should be around sooner or later to imply that: a) AH is a female but not a lady, or b) AH is a female NOW, but may or may not have been born that way.

And incidentally, if being exposed (just leave that alone, seanf) to two women makes you blush, then you'd probably be best to stay away from the Looney Bin and most of the Off Topic discussions. :)
