No, get Sapphire. I have a few mineral watches and they all have some scratches on crystal. Also I don't believe Mineral comes with AR coating so its hard to see dial in sunlight. It's cheaper to replace though.
On watches that don't get daily abuse......They will scratch, but they can be repaired.....
Sapphire, in the rep world is in many cases, simply mineral ........
I have owned dozens of watches with mineral, and it's just fine!!
Ask most Seiko owners!!
