Hi and welcome to RWI! Glad you found your way here.

Please take some time to read the sticky threads in the new members area (all subsections), learn the basic forum rules and get some very good advice in the process. A number of questions has already been answered there, this is just an example:

As a new subscriber, you've already been directed to this thread, please read carefully and look through the linked additional threads:

Another good thread to read to understand where RWI comes from and some fundamentals is this:

Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.

If you intend to sell, read the sales rules and all stickies in the sales section with particular care and make sure you understand each single rule. Sales rules infraction is taken very seriously here. As a new member you are not eligible to sell. Using the sales section is a privilege, eligibility must be earned, make sure you know and understand how.

For anything else, feel free to reach out to @eBoy or me, we're happy to assist, advise, direct, explain. Don't hesitate.

Don't be afraid to post noob questions in the new members area. In doubt, use the flame free zone. If you feel uncomfortable anywhere in the new members area, please reach out to @eBoy or me. Mutual respect is of utmost importance to us. On the other hand, we're grown-ups and are supposed to be able to deal with a bit of irony, don't take it personally, ever, a bit of irony never harmed anyone. If you laugh at jokes, you'll make friends faster.

This forum is a treasure trove of information and benefits from the engagement of all members who take their time to share their knowledge, help each other out and have some fun. We hope that you'll benefit and enjoy this platform as well as contribute positively to it.

If at any point you feel to contribute also on another level, feel free to pm the boss (trailboss99) to become a supporter and get some little perks with the status (editing rights, for example).

Enjoy the forum.

Is 37mm ok?
AP 15450. ZF should be the one to go with, although APSF also does very good royal oaks

Ask any TD. It's their job to make it through customs, some will also refund/replace in case of seizure.
Supermirrors has stock in Italy, check his section here in RWI. Unlikely he would have such a model there though.
Remember, use only RWI'S TDs from our section, don't ever Google them.

How many cm does your wrist approximately have and how is it shaped (very round or more oval)?

39mm is the "original" size of the first RO, if I'm not mistaken, so it's the classic size of a classic 70s watch.

A 37mm case size is nowadays considered a uni-sex or even a female size. But as a small wrist guy myself, I also wear vintage pieces as small as 33/34mm without issues, but I can also sport modern sports watches with up to 45mm.

It also depends on the wrist shape as well, not just the pure circumference. My slightly-below-16cm wrist is oval / flat, so my personal perfect size is 39 to 41 for the Royal Oak.

Sure.

So, I currently have a blue-dial 15500 ZF V3 which is 41mm.

As you can see, above and below the bezel, there is still plenty of "arm surface" and also beyond the edges, where the endlinks are underneath after the crinkle, it's not forming any "empty spaces" with the bracelet hovering one cm away, but instead it fits as intended by the design. 😁

Now, I really think a 37mm case would work as well, but my point is that a larger 39 or 41 case doesn't always have to necessarily be too large.

At the end of the day though, it's all about personal taste. If you feel that's too large for your taste, there's nothing wrong with that either... 😉

Congrats , that piece looks amazing! After seeing it i think a 39 mm would fit me perfectly, feel like 41 a lil bit too large for my taste. Thanks again for helping

Welcome to the Forums.

It all depends on your frame and size of the wrist. I believe 39mm should sit well on a men's wrist for sure.

41mm in my opinion isnt too huge too. Many guys can even carry off well a 44mm Panerai with a not so huge wrist.

You can probably go to a local AD store or second hand watch shop that sells genuines and try one on to test on the appearance.

Cheers
