good morning, I would like to have your opinion on this Rolex that they gave me, it is very old and ruined and I cannot understand if it is original or not. unfortunately I am not able to open the case back to see the movement inside, so I wanted to understand based on your experience whether it is gen or rep. thank you all in advance.

Not entirely my friend. Rolex did make some gold shell watches. Although those are quite easy to tell. The steel is showing on the bottom side of the case and the fold buckle should not be gold at all. If I remember correctly.
