Trying out my first order with PT for 2 weeks now and using CC and WU payment were not successful.
* Using CC failed(I know it's not a smart move and after reading a lot of suggestions, I will not use this payment method in my future transactions).
* Tried using WU and it also failed and for 1 week the status of the payment says "In Progress". I called WU and they said the recipient can technically collect the payment but PT advised me they can't collect the funds. WU advised me that this transaction is flagged and high risk but did not provide the reasons.

Anybody here had the same issue/s before using WU payment and can the recipient collect the money even if the status says "In Progress"? Looking forward for any assistance. Thanks!

Hello there ,
I also laid with WU . Normally after sending the money , WU will provide you a tracking number that gives you info about the transaction. If it says that is ready to collect then Puretime needs to pick it up. Me after sending the money I contacted Puretime and they told me they were going to collect . Inside 2 days I think , they collected it, because the status of WU tracking changed and after some hours Puretime contacted me saying they accepted the payment . Do you have a tracking number for the payment ? If yes go to the tracking page and screenshot and send it to Puretime. If they still say they can’t accept it’s either or their fault , or a problem of the WU system and you will need to call WU to take back the money .

Yeah I had the tracking number but it stayed "In Progress" for the past few days. I will try to request and cancel/refund the transaction. I wonder if it makes a difference if you go directly over the counter from a nearby WU outlet to make the transfer compared to when using the WU website where it failed for me.

Me I made it in a shop. In the tracking page you can click the status and under it explains what in progress means. “In progress: Your transfer has been processed and your money is on its way”. This means that it’s not fault of Puretime, since the money is not yet available for them to pick it up. In order for the money to be ready for Puretime to take it , the status of the tracking needs to be “Available” . So contact WU and tell them that the money is not available and it’s their fault , and that they are wrong , the recipient can’t pick up the money. Either they are waiting the money from your credit card to arrive to them or their system has an error. Better take back the money and try sending the money through their shop points, if they don’t manage to resolve this for you by phone or email .


Here is the official status meaning taken from the WU website:
“In progress: Your transfer has been processed and your money is on its way.
Available: Your transfer is ready for pickup. Your receiver needs to visit an agent location with their government-issued ID and tracking number (MTCN).
Received: The money has been picked up by your receiver at an agent location.”
