Screw case threads not deep enough? C'mon man, you can do better than this, give us a better description of the problem. What model is it? Are these the lug screws we're talking about or CG screws?

The op asked what would you do?

I think the collective answer here is.....

Forgive me if I shouldn't of spoke for you.

Sent from my iPad cause I'm to lazy to sit at a computer.

its a 183h and its the lug case thread, screw goes in but not deep enough to grab bar and lock it.tried another screw in and same, you can also see into the locating hole its not going deep enough. Its alomost as if they just used the first tap and not the finishing tap.

sounds like drill and setup for spring bars would resolve it?

Since you bought it with a strap attached, how could they not have noticed this? Wasn't it obviously working OK with the strap when you got it? And, did you first notice it when you were changing straps?

Something just doesn't sound right. You realize, I'm sure, that the strap bars are only flat on one small area where the screw grabs it. If they're not all the way in, it will never work.

I noticed it with in 2 minutes of putting it on.One was worse than the other. As mentioned the TD offer to repair if i send it back but I was worried about losing it in the post and the time scale. So i decided to buy a mini tap/die set off the bay for £15,then i had ago at tapping the case holes a little deeper ,main problem was nobody seemed to know the size of thread.A little trial and error and it seems it's a 1.5mm or 15 on the thread plate and now all is well, and i feel a little chuffed with myself for fixing :)

Congratulations. It's always a good feeling of accomplishment when you fix a watch yourself.

Very interesting repair

Could you elaborate your repair with some pics of your tools and the link to buy them ?

People would appreciate it

Thanks in advance
