Yes it is. No need to fake a 9015 since they are dirt cheap in the first place.

Thank you! I had a question, because when I asked TD, they answered that it was not genuine

It's not the movement in the genuine watch but I'd be very surprised if it isn't a genuine 9015

You know, it's pretty funny. When the Miyota was becoming the "go to" movement in the rep scene, I had a huge argument here in this forum about the authenticity of the movements. He said none of the Miyotas in reps are genuine, and they're clones because the Japanese would never let China buy them.

Pretty funny considering the movements are dirt cheap in genuine form.

LOL, lots of cheaper Chinese gens use the 9015 so they can claim "Japan MVT"

Is it possible to source these 9015s as a consumer? Say if the movement in a JLC moonphase ultra thin broke?

You can buy a movement, yes. Just do a quick Google search. However you won't find anything faux-decorated JLC etc. unless you buy a donor rep, I don't think.

Thanks for the answer! And I assume the factories don't sell their decorated movements because they'd rather have you buy a new watch instead :(

Is there a huge difference between a 9015 from aliexpress for $89 here vs a $120 one from perrinwatchparts?
