Is this RM055 Bubba Watson a good purchase?

Hi!

First off: I work as a money collector and conflict manager. I make about 150K in a bad year and I drive a Porsche Macan diesel SUV. Nothing about my life says I have 300K+ to put on a watch.
I am not a scammer, and I am not interested in lying about it being genuine if asked. The people who actually will think it is real are dumb as toast and will not be corrected.
That being said I think the design of the RM055 is really cool, and I think I would enjoy wearing the watch.

I found this ad on Trusty Time, which seems almost too good to be true, and my knee jerk reaction is to ask you, who know. 😊👍 There is a 64% discount, and the price has been reduced from 768USD to 278USD.

My questions are:
1. What is the quality of the RM watches from ZF factory compared to others?
2. How long can I expect that this watch will run before it needs servicing?
3. Does anybody have this model, and what are your experiences with it?
4. Are there things I should be aware of in the daily use of the watch, except being careful around water?
5. What are the absolute worst things about this model? Please criticize harshly and honestly.

Thank you for your time, competence and help.

The quality of the watch is good but the reason it has the heavy discount is the movement. You won't have a moving balance wheel like you see it on gens or the newer clone versions for $800+
They are trying to get rid of old stock since no one or hardly no one buys the versions with the old movement anymore.
If you don't care about it and just like the way it looks it surely is a good buy. If you're OCD about details then stick to one of the higher priced super clones.

just get the latest version, that one uses a very old movement that is outdated and doesn't look like RM movement at all, that's why it's at a huge discount

Latest version thread here :

The latest ZF RM055 is insanely good quality.

Noone can tell you anything about longevity for replicas, could be 3 weeks, could be 3 months, could be 5 years. If you're worried about this don't buy an RM, straight up. This movement is annoying to service and you won't find many people who will touch it.

Even gen RM is not that good for handwashing, rep also the same, don't take it to water.

All in all, sounds like you should just get a VSF Submariner (;

If I wanted a Submariner, I´d go take a gen from some dumb deadbeat as wig today, I don't like Rolex.
I´m not looking for a watch where I like the design personally, not to impress stupid nobodies. 👍😂😂
I will not be buying the RM because of problems getting it serviced, otherwise I think it looked cool.

My questions are:
1. What is the quality of the RM watches from ZF factory compared to others?
For 55:
Zf best ceramic
Apsf best ntpt
Latest version ($800 range not the one you linked)
2. How long can I expect that this watch will run before it needs servicing?
That Modded miyota batch from zf is unstable. It depends on your luck
3. Does anybody have this model, and what are your experiences with it?
Same as above
4. Are there things I should be aware of in the daily use of the watch, except being careful around water?
All replicas are bad at water proof QC
5. What are the absolute worst things about this model? Please criticize harshly and honestly.
Answers above should also clarify this one
Thank you for your time, competence and help.

Puretime just added the „V2 APSF“ to the new arrivals of the bubba watson but the movement still looks mehh

No update in sight. I would stick with ZF in this regard. Different story for TPT.

Movement finish is still a key factor with RM - wouldnt take a compromise in that regard.

I'll only add on the waterproof portion of this thread. Most high end reps are waterproof, but there is no guarantee. You should either have a local shop test it or pick up a pressure tester and test it yourself before swimming with it. I test mine upon addition to my collection, the exception being watches that I have no reason to think I'd ever take swimming, like my speedmasters.
