Last week a friend gave me a rep rolex Yacht-Master which has the Seagull ST-16 (Nam Hing 2003) movement (at least this is what i believe it is after reviewing pics on the web).

The rep has many flaws which are even visible to a noob like me. My questions is, is the movement worth enough to try and fix the other flaws or is the movement total junk?

Thanks and I am enjoying my first week in the forum.

welcome to RWI!

well.. i wouldnt bother fixing it... you can buy a replacement movement for about $10, or you can but a new "noobfactory" Yachtmaster (very very accurate) for about $100 or so.

I've got a cheap sub with that movement and it keeps excellent time. Better than a lot of the 2836-2 movements I've had.
