Is this Gen or Rep?

Saw this PAM 88 G for sales at my local forum, the cg pin just does not sit flush and flat. Or is this yet again another example of PAM inconsistency? Because other than that, I think it looks great. What do you think?

The 6 doesn't seem right to me... and is the bezel supposed to be this thick? I'm no Paneristo, so I should let those in the know share their extensive expertise!

Not shure on the pin but if that's a rep it's a damn good one! Boxset looks gen so to the case protector. Or can they be bought?

I am a noobstarsuperstar. Is the crown guard the corredt shape? I thought they had a slight curve along the top and bottom edges (when looking side on).

My local dealer provide me with the case protector too. So sure it can be bought.

im no pam expert, but to me it looks very gen. looks almost exactly like the one in my panerai catalogue, but the crown is not really centered and the lugs look
like rep case ones.
but im sure the experts will tell you

I've seen the cg pin sunken in slightly on old models that are genuine. Get a shot from the side to see if the crown is centered. The numbers look good on the box so some pictures of the case back would help. But just from the pictures it looks very much gen as the fonts and everything look good.

i would be extremly amazed if its not a GEN.

first i thought the crown guard lever is not 100% alligned to the CG, but....gens dont have that either.

if the date font is small.....and magnification not strong enough...its a DAMN GOOD REP !

pardon my ignorance, but why does it look like the CG pin is sunken in pictures 1 & 4, while it clearly looks raised and rounded in picture #2?

Sorry that's all the pict they put up. But after more search. You are right the some Gen before the J series does have a little sunken cg pin. J series onward seem to have a very perfect cg pin which no rep to date could produce.
