I have acquired a WM9 v2 recently…it came with a broken ETA movement..

From my literature research here in RWI and other forum.. the movement can be an ETA 2678 or 2671… I wonder which one I should source to replace the broken one in my watch..

Thanks so much!
Dennis

Could just be me but it looks more like a 2820 to me.

Edit. Had another look at it and it sort of matched the 2671. I forgot that they offered it in 25 jewels with ball bearings (my bad). The engraving is rough but, I would say it looks most like a 2671.

I'm no expert, far from it, but that looks like
2678.

Can you take a better picture of this area?

Does it look like “2678” engraved ?
Hard to say from the pictures. I did try to blow them up but couldn’t make it out. That being said the layout does match a 2671 (have a look here).

But I wouldnt be investigating or purchasing either until you are 100% certain what is in it right now. Sellers pictures are old and n/a to your decision making at this point in time.

So perhaps, if you cant get it off yourself, a trip to an independent jeweller, give $10-$20 approx and ask them to remove caseback for you. Very simple job.
