Long story short, I was hunting for an AP ROO, but after much consideration and research, I’ve decided it’s best not to buy the AP ROO 42mm for the time being due to its flaws—such as the misaligned date window, an overly thick case, and other noticeable cosmetic issues. Instead, I decided to purchase an APSF 15703. However, before the watch shipped, a reputable modder advised me to get a 15703 ZF instead.
I know we should buy what we like, and while the 15703 is listed as an NWBIG, it still isn’t even 0.95:1 and has a few flaws, as I’ve read not just on this forum but elsewhere as well. The more I asked around, the more people recommended the ZF over the APSF.
Since my APSF hasn’t shipped yet, I was given the option to replace it with any watch of the same amount I paid or more. While exploring options, I came across a seller offering a ZF SA3120 for at least $320. Unfortunately, I couldn’t determine which batch it belonged to, and the seller admitted he didn’t have definitive proof either. I also don’t know how to verify if the movement is an SA3120 or a 2824 (who knows?). The seller mentioned he would get back to me next week and open the case back for confirmation.
Therefore, I would like to ask for some helping hand here! hopefully it is indeed a ZF!
