Is this a good reason to RL?

I was looking at the QC pics of the Ballon Bleu that I ordered and noticed that the glass part inside the crown (bubble) is misaligned and looks bulgy.



Is this normal or should I RL it?

There’s no glass there. That’s where you wind it. And no, the 2 pics are at 2 different angles. Nothing wrong with that watch.

From the winding video, I can see the sapphire on the crown is a bit unbalanced compared to its position before and after the winding. IDK if you want to RL it or not. For me, it is still within my tolerance.

It would be a bit of a faff getting the film onto the blue jewel under the crown guard... and kind of redundant, sticking a bit of blue plastic film over a blue plastic jewel... so I'd say probably not.

Although it being a faff would explain how it came to be put on squiffy...

Yeah, I agree, my train of thought was perhaps the blue dots are put onto the crowns before the watches are built to prevent scratching in the factory, but yeah, I honestly have no clue really

The dial is bit yellowish compared to previous qc but probably due to lighting. Crown issue is resolved. Can I get your thoughts?

At some point you need to make decisions on your own. The previous issue was addressed for you by the community. Now it's time for you to make a decision.

I would RL. This is a visible defect you’ll see every time you wear the watch

I'll ditto on the RL. It's fine for this case since it is a defect.

I would not RL it, as I can barely see it in the follow up set. As @TESLA760 said, you need to decide if YOU can handle this flaw. I see the issue you are concerned about, but it's so minor I doubt anyone would notice. In this model you also have a crown guard blocking visibility as well making it less seen.

As said man you didn’t like the first on, got another which was better you think of the first ones issue

But then not happy with another issue, you need to pick which one you can live with

TD’s will get impatient (and understandably) so if you keep asking for another
